Settings
Configuring departments, focus areas, and notification preferences.
Accessing Settings
Click Settings in the sidebar to access the settings module. The following pages are available, and they are typically configured in this order:
- General — set the default RAG (SLA) window in days.
- Department — define the teams that requests will be assigned to.
- Focus Area — define the categories that requests can be tagged with.
- Team Members — add or remove members within each team.
- Notifications — each user then chooses how they want to be notified.
General Settings
Navigate to Settings → General (/settings/general).
This page configures the default RAG window for new project requests. The value is a number of days from 1 to 90 and drives the Green / Yellow / Red aging badges shown on the Dashboard and the requests table:
- Green — 0 – 43% of the configured days have elapsed
- Yellow — 44 – 99%
- Red — 100% or more (overdue)
Individual teams can override this on a per-team basis from Step 2 of the workflow (see 7-Step Workflow).
Department Settings
Navigate to Settings → Department (/settings/department).
This page allows admins to manage organization teams/departments:
- View all teams with their descriptions
- Create new teams within the Nirmaan organization
- Edit team names and descriptions
- Manage team membership (add/remove users from teams)

Notification Preferences
Navigate to Settings → Notifications (/settings/notifications).
Configure how you receive notifications. Three global channels are available:
| Channel | Description |
|---|---|
| Receive notifications via email (enabled by default) | |
| SMS | Receive SMS notifications (disabled by default) |
| Push | Browser push notifications (enabled by default) |
In addition to the global channels, you can enable or disable email per trigger (e.g. "Request Created", "Workflow Step Status Changed"). The full list of triggers — and the in-app notification centre — is documented in Notifications.
These are per-user preferences — each user can configure their own notification channels.
Team Members
Navigate to Settings → Team (/dashboard/settings/team).
This page lets admins manage team membership directly:
- Add Team Member — add an existing user to a team.
- Delete Team Member — remove a user from a team without deleting their account.
Team membership controls which requests a Department Head or Member can see in their department view.
